The gracious winter wonderland of Mývatn in Iceland creates a wild wilderness of whiteness covering the landscape, the once-colorful landscape now facing you in challenging monochrome, black and white in its simplicity, and with this sense of isolation it can call out the loneliness within if that is your burden, or offer instead the comforting support of solitude, of being alone and being nourished by it, the coldness creeping in but still the stillness within the cold touching you in ways unexpected, and whatever you may feel, it is a unique experience.
